Historic Agriculture in the Yampa Valley

Location: Library Hall (1289 Lincoln Ave.)
Cost: Free

A night of storytelling: Longtime perspectives on growing up in the Yampa Valley.

A special program in honor of Celebrate Agriculture Week, following up on our wildly successful 2015, 2016 and 2017 historic ag storytelling sessions which are now available in the archives at Tread of Pioneers Museum.

Join us for a conversation with locals who have a rich hands-on history of growing up in traditional agriculture around the Yampa Valley. The evening's conversation will include topics as varied as homesteading, ranching, farming, rural schools, community life and skiing.

Meet our 2018 panelists:

- Dennis Lodwick grew up in the Clark area
- Nadene Utter Arroyo grew up in the Cow Creek area
- Verna Decker Whaley grew up in the Yampa area, on her parents' homestead
- The moderator: Marsha Daughenbaugh Executive Director of Community Agriculture Alliance
